July 1, 2021 Mayor Todd Gloria Distributed Yellow Whistles in San Diego, California

Amidst the increasing racist attacks against the Asian community, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria paid a special visit on July 1, 2021 and handed out Yellow Whistles to Asian seniors. About one hundred people attended the event at Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of San Diego (CCBA) Senior Garden, which was organized by Alliance of Chinese Americans San Diego (ACA), Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs San Diego (APAPA) and CCBA.
When Mayor Gloria spoke, he declared, ‘There is no part of my job that’s more important than keeping our community safe.
